THC Distillate in Vancouver and Across Canada

What THC Distillate Is and How It's Made

Distillate starts as cannabis oil pulled from plant material, then goes through further refinement to strip out plant waxes, chlorophyll, and most of the original terpenes. What's left is a clear to amber oil that's mostly THC, often tested in the 90 percent range and higher. Because the natural terpenes get stripped out, most brands add terpenes back in afterward for flavor and a smoother vapor.

This process is different from how live resin gets made. Our live resin collection covers fresh frozen extraction in more detail.

THC Distillate vs Live Resin: What's the Real Difference

Live resin keeps close to the plant's original terpene profile by freezing it right after harvest. Distillate does the opposite, stripping almost everything away, including terpenes, then rebuilding flavor with terpenes added back in. That gives distillate a more consistent potency number across batches. Live resin costs more per gram and carries more of the plant's character. Distillate costs less per milligram of THC and hits with more predictable potency.

Neither format wins outright. It comes down to which you care about more: potency and price, or a fuller terpene profile close to the original plant. Our live resin collection has the jars, cartridge, and gummies made the fresh frozen way.

Why Vancouver and Canada Shoppers Choose Distillate

Price per milligram is the biggest reason. The SDC Vape Cartridges (1000mg) THC pack 1000mg of THC into a $20.00 cartridge, about two cents per milligram. Distillate also holds a steady potency number. So High Extracts says its 5ML Distillate Disposable Vape Pens test at over 92% THC, and Lush lists its disposables as Delta-9 THC distillate with natural strain-specific terpenes added in.

For anyone in Burnaby, Richmond, or elsewhere in Greater Vancouver who wants a strong, predictable high without a dab rig, distillate carts and disposables are usually the starting point.

Three Ways to Use THC Distillate From This Collection

This collection covers a cartridge, disposable pens, and an edible.

Cartridge. The SDC Vape Cartridges (1000mg) THC come as a highly purified distillate cartridge at 95% THC. It needs a compatible vape pen or battery to use, since the cartridge itself doesn't include one.

Disposable pens. Lush THC Disposable Vapes pack 2 grams of Delta-9 THC distillate with natural strain-specific terpenes into a draw-activated pen, no button or charging needed, in sativa, indica, and hybrid options. The Mix & Match Lush bundle lets you pick 3 Lush disposables and save 15% instead of paying full price on each one. So High Extracts 5ML Distillate Disposable Vape Pens hold more oil per pen, are rechargeable instead of single-use, and are made in Vancouver by the brand using locally sourced BC flower and natural strain-specific terpenes.

Edible. Proper Extracts Mini Triangle Bites (2400mg THC) come as 24 gummies at 100mg THC each, made with THC distillate in assorted fruit flavors. More on dosing below.

How to Store THC Distillate Vapes and Edibles

Keep cartridges and disposable pens upright, in a cool, dark spot, away from sunlight and heat sources like a car dashboard or windowsill. Heat can thin the oil and cause it to leak, and light breaks down cannabinoids over time. Store the gummies the same way, sealed in their original packaging.

People often ask whether weed pens expire. Check the package for any date the brand prints. Either way, the oil can lose potency and flavor over time, especially if stored somewhere warm. A cartridge or disposable kept cool and dark holds its quality far longer than one left on a windowsill. Check the gummy packaging for any date the brand lists.

Dosing the Distillate Gummies

Each Proper Extracts Mini Triangle Bite is 100mg THC per gummy, well above Health Canada's guidance to start with 2.5mg of THC or less for a first edible. Cutting a gummy into smaller pieces gets you closer to that starting point. Edibles can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to start working and up to 4 hours to peak, so wait before eating more, even if nothing seems to be happening yet. Health Canada's edible cannabis safety guidance covers this in more detail, and it applies the same way to orders delivered in Vancouver or mailed anywhere else in Canada.

A Surrey customer picking up a birthday order once grabbed the So High Extracts pen along with a Mini Triangle Bites pack, splitting the gummies with a friend instead of eating a full one at once, a common pairing for this collection.

For more vape options, our vapes category covers live resin and other cartridge types too. For more edibles, check our edibles collection or browse Proper Extracts directly. Our concentrates hub covers shatter, hash, kief, and live resin too.
